THE BEST WAY OF LIVING

       What is life? How do you define life? Perhaps, you will discover that there are as many different answers to that question as there are people. Mr. Webster defines life as the principle of existence conceived of as belonging to the soul. I has also been told that life is a minefield, a circus, a roller coaster, a symphony, a journey and a puzzle. Many have said, "Life is a wheel : sometimes you're up and sometimes you're down, sometimes you just go round and round of life is a game of dice: full of chances."

         Moreover, when asked, what is your view of life? You may be basing on a faulty life metaphor or biblical metaphors of life. Life metaphors are your pictures of life or your views of life that you hold, consciously or unconsciously in your mind. It's your description of how life works and what you expect from it. This maybe expressed through clothes, jewelry, cars, hairstyles and etc.  It is also about your expectations, hour values, your relationships, goals and priorities.  But to live life at its best is living in fulfillment of the purpose of God made for you, you will have to challenge the conventional wisdom and replace it with biblical metaphors of  life.  The bible says, "Do not conform yourselves to the standards of the world but let God transforms you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then, you will be able to know the will of God."

       To live in God's guidance, we are offered by the bible the three metaphors that teach us His view of life: Life is a test, Life is a trust and life is a temporary assignment. These ate the foundation of a purpose-driven  living. 

        Life on earth is a test. Why? Many incidents in the bible that God continuously tests people's character, faith, obedience , love, integrity and loyalty. When we understand that life is a test, you will realize that nothing i insignificant in our lives.  Every day is a gift, every second counts. But how great might our tests will be, God wants us to pass the test of life.  He will never allow us to stumble down and cry because of failure.

         Life on earth is a trust; whatever we have, time, energy, money, intelligence, beauty and etc. are all God's gift that he entrusted to our care and management.  We never really own anything during our short stay on Earth.  At the end of our life, we will be evaluated and rewarded according to how well have we handled what God has entrusted to us. 

        Life is a temporary assignment, to make the best use of our lives, we must never forget two truths: Life is brief compared to eternity and earth is only a temporary place of living.  The world is not our home, we were made for something much better.

         Life is a test, trust and temporary assignment.  The more God gives you, the more responsible He expects you to be, do not get too attached with material things world has and that'show to live LIFE in the SIMPLEST BUT THE BEST WAY!..
